K-Drama: Two Weeks

FYI, this will be the last installment to my current korean drama watch list. I stopped watching "Her Legend" after 6 episodes I think. I just don't like the whole story line, it's too dramatic and cliche for me. So the last installment for this season's list will be "Two Weeks" (my favorite! *wink*)

Two Weeks Promo Poster

Synopsis I got from AsianWiki.com

A man named Tae-San (Lee Joon-Gi) lives his life meaninglessly. He is falsely accused of murder. The man learns that he has a young daughter stricken with leukemia. For the next two weeks, he struggles to save his daughter.
8 years ago, Tae-San and In-Hye (Park Ha-Sun) were involved in a romantic relationship. At the time, Tae-San was a member of a crime gang and worked for crime boss Moon Il-Seok (Jo Min-Gi). One day, Moon Il-Seok ordered Tae-San to take the wrap for a murder charge that Moon Il-Seok committed. If Tae-San refuses, Moon Il-Seok threatens to kill his girlfriend In-Hye, who is pregnant at the time. Tae-San agrees to take the fall and goes to prison, but first he takes In-Hye to an abortion clinic. In-Hye has no idea why Tae-San changed.
Now, Tae-San is still a gang member and works under Moon Il-Seok, but he's looked down upon by the other guys. Tae-San also works at a pawn shop run by his gang. One day, Tae-San is about to hit another guy there, but stops when he sees a woman through the window. The woman is his ex-girlfriend In-Hye.
They sit together in a coffee shop. In-Hye then asks Tae-San to take a blood test. Tae-Sun is confused by her request, but learns that she has an 8-year-old daughter named Soo-Jin (Lee Chae-Mi). Her daughter also has leukemia and desperately needs a bone-marrow transplant. Tae-San also realizes that when he took In-Hye to the abortion clinic 8 years ago, she did not go through with the abortion and that Soo-Jin is his daughter. In-Hye lets Tae-San know that she has no interest in restarting a relationship with him and that her fiancé Seung-Woo (Ryu Soo-Young) is a detective.
After going to the hospital for the blood test, Tae-San learns that his bone-marrow is a match and he can go ahead with the transplant operation in 2 weeks. But, Tae-San goes to see someone and when he wakes up he is arrested by two detectives for her murder.

Yup! As you guys can see in the promo poster, this is an action-filled drama and I know that action is not really my thing but the story line and whole concept just bought me. It's suspense and every episode is packed with important details that it is not draggy and always keep the viewers on their toes.

This drama has a total of 16 episodes and currently aired its 10th episode. (YES! super sad that this drama is already ending T.T) It is aired by MBC network every Wednesday and Thursday. The lead actor is Lee Junki which is very known in Korea. He is super handsome even though he has scenes that he is all dirty and haven't showered for days, he still looks handsome! *_* <- that's my dreamy emoticon. LOL!

As the drama title said, the story will revolve within two weeks though there are flashbacks here and there but the main point is that how will Tae San survive (not getting killed) and prove his innocence and save his daughter within two weeks. Aside from that other characters are thrown into the story to make it more interesting and how all the characters are related to one another. Since it all happened within two weeks, every episode is filled with actions and revelations that unfolds the relationship of Tae San to the Congresswoman to the Prosecutor to the Detective and back to his daughter. Everything is very well put together and the story line is very consistent when it comes to suspense and leaving viewers hanging every episode. Like for episode 10, the last part left the viewers happy since Tae San already found the evidence that can prove his innocence but since he still has 6 days left before the operation, I know that there will surely be more problems along the way.

My Thoughts:
I am so into this drama! Every episode wants me to click on to the next episode and it's sad when I reached the part 4 of the video since I know that I have to wait 7 days to know what will happen next. The pain of watching korean dramas same time it was being aired in Korea. T.T TWO THUMBS UP for this drama, I like the suspense and action in this drama plus the kid , Soo Jin is sooooo CUTE!!! i ust want to pinch her cheeks!
