K-Drama: Bel Ami (Pretty Man)

I'm back with another Korean drama, since a lot of the korean dramas that I've been waching for the past few months comes to its end. New dramas are starting and I can't wait to share with you guys what I think about it. First on my list is "Bel Ami". :)

Dokgo Ma-Te (Jang Keun-Suk) is the most beautiful man in the world. He is also an ambitious man and wants to make a lot money using his beautiful appearance. Dokgo Ma-Te meets Hong Yoo-Ra, the ex-daughter-in-law of a rich family. Hong Yoo-Ra recognizes Dokgo Ma-Te's ambitions and becomes his mentor. Hong Yoo-Ra then gives Dokgo Ma-Te a mission to seduce 10 different women. The women have all succeeded in different fields and Dokgo Ma-Te is to glean their special abilities.

A strange woman then appears in front of Dokgo Ma-Te. Her name is Kim Bo-Tong, an ordinary girl from poor background. She has a huge crush on Dokgo Ma-Te. Can she make Dokgo Ma-Te love her?

"Bel Ami" is also known as "Pretty Man", "Pretty Boy" and/or "Handsome Man" as its alternative title. This drama has 16 episodes in total and currently on its 8th episode. It is aired by KBS2 Network (so you guys can also watch it on KBS world soon..). The drama is based on a comic book series published in 2009.

The first thing that made me to watch this drama is of course.. Jang Geun Suk! (and I guess a lot of viewers have the same reason as mine right? LOL) I do have a love-hate relationship with Jang Geun Suk, he is way tooo pretty to be a man that he is even be prettier to most actresses I've seen, but aside from his looks, he is also talented as an actor. (though most of his roles are related to being handsome-rude-arrogant-jerk kind of roles) I also want to see the chemistry between him and IU, if they do have it because I think that the don't but will see if they can pull it off.

The story not only focuses on the romantic aspect but also, IU is funny and weird in this drama. IU's personality is very unique that seeing another person that has the same personality as hers is just very funny.I also find it nice that I can actually learn a thing or two in the world of business and ho to be success in the making connections, money and reading other people's mind. So far, I still can not see the chemistry between Jang Geun Suk and IU, so I can't wait to see IU's transformation because right now I can see her slow hairstyle and fashion transformation.

My thoughts:

I do recommend this drama since it has a good balance of humor and romance. Though romance wise, it is not yet in the level that you will all giddy and daydreaming when will it happen to be kind of romance. I have a lot of hope for this drama, so hopefully it will have a great story flow and twist.
