REVIEW: Etude House AC Clinic Intense Trial Kit

Hello guys! I'm back with another review... But this time, it is gonna be a beauty review...

FYI, I have a VERY VERY oily and acne prone skin and I've been dealing with that problem since grade school up until now. So I am trying out different product to solve my acne problem. Join me in my adventure to fight and hopefully win my battle against acne, sebum and my oil glands! :)

AC Clinic Intense Trial Kit Packaging

The products without the pouch

AC Clinic Intense Pink Powder Spot and AC Clinic Intense Pink Powder Water and Free cotton swabs

AC Clinic Daily Gel Lotion

AC Clinic Daily Toner

AC Clinic Acne Foam Cleanser
AC Clinic Intense Trial Kit is under the AC Clinic line of Etude House which is their Acne line product. This kit cost Php 428.

The kit includes (all in small or travel size packaging):
1 AC Clinic Acne Foam Cleanser
1 AC Clinic Toner
1 AC Clinic Gel Lotion
1 AC Clinic Intense Pink Powder Spot
1 AC Clinic Intense Pink Powder Water
8 cotton swabs

The packaging is almost written in Hangul, so I can only share a few info regarding this products

AC Clinic Intense Trial Kit

Formulated with Salicylic Acid, AC Clinic delivers trouble care at every stage.

So the steps for this kit:
1. Wash your face with the AC Clinic Acne Foam Cleanser
2. Apply AC Clinic Toner using cotton pads
3. Apply AC Clinic Gel Lotion (I personally just dab it at my face and spread it with my CLEAN hand
4. AM: Apply AC Clinic Intense Pink Powder Water only on acne/pimples
PM: Apply AC Clinic Intense Pink Powder Spot only on acne/pimples

My Impression:

To be honest, I've used the foam cleanser solo, before trying out the whole kit and it wasn't effective on me. However, I thought that maybe it wasn't effective since I only use this product and not the whole line...

The products have this distinguish smell, which is not that appealing, but You'll get used to it as time goes. I used the product for at least 4 weeks and see no result. In fact, it broke me out and got small pimples all over my face. It did not stop my acne problems and failed.

For the AC Clinic Intense Pink Powder Spot, it is directed not to shake the product before use, the use of the cotton swab is to get the pink powder only and it will leave pink powder on your face that is why it is advised to use it at night. The pink powder will suppose to dry your pimple/s.

For the AC Clinic Intense Pink Powder Water, there will also be white powdery when it is already dry, but the visibility of it depends on how much you dabbed on your acne/pimple. So don't dab too much or it will leave a white powdery on your face.

Pros:
- It's a trial kit, so you can "try" it for yourself and maybe work on you.
- Affordable considering all the products in there are expensive when bought separately
- Handy for travelling

Cons:
- Unappealing smell
- Availability is not consistent (I've went to several EH stores before I got one)
- Did not work on me

Final Verdict:

Will definitely not repurchase it again, since it did not work on my acne, but I guess worth a try since the kit itself is for trial before buying the actual products in their line.

Remember, products might have different result on different skin, so maybe my skin is just way too stubborn and won't cooperate. LOL!

BTW, I used this product long ago, so I don't have sample pictures on my progress. And later found out that Salicylic Acid is not compatible with my skin. And that may also be the added factor why it did not worked on me.

Could you guys recommend me other products for my problem? Acne and Sebum products please :)

Signed,
Ria <3
